I work in a natural science and history museum. Here are two good stories:

My story: we have a historical forest connected to our museum, and part of that is a section of land that we can use for exhibitions and shows because it was already altered land by the family that settled there before the museum’s inception. So we have an outdoor exhibit with a lot of A/V parts explaining the natural world you can find at night. Its every fall and only open for 3 months out of the year. The rest of the year its dark. This is all to say, a rather upset a visitor approached me while i was installing said show, and stated that we were “killing microbiomes and disturbing natural ecosystems with the lights at night, and the sounds of the exhibit.” I essentially told her that we try to keep our intrusions to a minimum in that way, and nature is a lot hardier than she might be giving it credit for. Then she told me basically “good, then itll recover fast when all humans die off. I cant wait for that day.” And the icing on the cake for me is that, she thinks my “generation just hasn’t suffered enough.” I was like, shock high with laughter afterwords. Like girl.. i was just Installing a giant swallow tail butterfly selfie spot. Chill!!

One from my coworker who went to the georgia aquarium one weekend: she looks very approachable because we are used to working behind the scenes.. so a grown adult came up and asked if she worked there. She said no, and this person still asked her “well i just wanted to know.. are they real?” And my coworker was like “are they…. Real? You mean the animals??” Bless her heart. Yes, she told them they were real.

Bonus!!! There is also this time that some parents set up their on-the-go potty for their toddler.

I’m going to vent about people’s reception to the FNAF DLC because i think it really shows who the fans of fnaf are and who only watches edits and thinks fanon = canon.

-The mori

Why did people want a springlock mori so bad? Only 2 spring lock suits were created and William is wearing one of them. The Fredbear suit hasn’t been found since.

William did not create the spring lock suits to kill people, but for performers to wear them when they weren’t being use an animatronics. His mori makes PERFECT sense. He is using an actual ‘suit’ to kill survivors. If william wanted to create a suit made for killing people, it’s what it would look like in the mori. We can even SEE another version of that suit in the pizzeria map.

I hate to say mean things. But these people are fucking idiots and know NOTHING about the lore if they think his mori doesn’t make sense 😭

-The jumpscares

This one is sort of understandable. FNAF jumpscares tend to use exaggerated screams for the terror factor. However, William uses his OWN voice in these jumpscares. This also makes perfect sense. But, William cannot feasibly make the FNAF 3 jumpscare sound. It can also be safe to say that these sounds are likely not canon and are for the sake of the game. For example, if Vanessa finds you in Security Breach, it makes a jumpscare noise. The same goes for Springtrap.

-The voice

Springtrap is voiced by PJ Heywood, and reprises his role in DBD. People genuinely say he.. doesn’t sound dead enough? This is appalling. Genuinely. William’s voice is a byproduct of how damaged his vocal cords were when he died and thus transferred when his soul repossessed his body. Whatever state his physical body is in will not matter. Complaining that a SOUL doesn’t sound dead enough is stupid. And it genuinely pisses me off.

-The power

Honestly, this is one I can understand more than the others. His power has effectively nothing to do with him has a character. I think it would be very hard to implement a power that would be both balanced and aligning with Springtrap and who he is. I think the way they did his power was very safe and effective. Going into the security room and having the cameras as a part of the gameplay is honestly such a good way to implement the core mechanics of FNAF into the power of Springtrap. Unfortunately, you can’t just shove 4 survivors in a security room. I completely understand how some people might not like the power, but I think it’s a reach to say that it’s terrible or the worst power they’ve seen when the Trapper exists.

I think these people forget that Scott Cawthon was helping the devs make the DLC because they cared THAT much about what the fans wanted. It’s actually so disappointing to see people who don’t know the lore bitch and whine about one of the most anticipated DBD DLCs of all time. Fanon Springtrap genuinely ruined people’s perception on Springtrap and William Afton as a whole.

Yes, William is practically the textbook definition of evil. He is intelligent. He is cruel. He is uncaring. He shows no remorse for his actions. He is manipulative. He is a terrible person.

William is also arrogant. He is overconfident. He fears death. It’s even implied he somewhat loved his daughter, Elizabeth, even if it were very little. And even then, he still puts his safety above others. He strives for immortality so he can continue his twisted path of life.

He has exactly what he wants in Dead by Daylight. He can kill as much as he wants without having to worry about death. No doubt he would be a cocky asshole. He already had an ego boost from never truly being caught by the authorities for his murders. Him cracking jokes while doing the one thing he enjoys most is the most William Afton thing ever. And it’s honestly really sad to see that people think his voice lines don’t fit him.

So sorry guys I love me some Springtrap and people whining about peak pisses me off

I have conflicted feelings about the FNAF series in general, but seeing a movie where practical animatronic puppets are the primary focus of the film becoming not only financially successful but also well received by general audiences is pretty damn neat.

Five nights really is looking like a horror movie now, huh?

After a painful week of avoiding spoilers (I ended up being spoiled anyway lol) I finally managed to watch the FNAF movie last Thursday. I really liked it! I had a very positive experience at the end of the day. Cool film.

I've been doing this drawing for a while now. I started this one some time before the film came out. The idea had come to me a while ago, but this drawing only really started to shape like,one week and a half before the 27th. The initial idea was partially created while I was putting together the film with the scenes in the trailers and TV spots in my head. You know, trying to predict how the movie is going to play out. And I thought that this, this and this scene were all taking place on the same night. Which i guess it turned out to be the case. (Also, notice how none of these images are in the film itself lol)

After watching the film, I only had to slightly modify a few details here and there, and boom, drawing completed.

I know I've said this about other drawings of mine, but I'm proud of this one. Happy to not only finish this, but that it turned out good.

It's been a good while since I drew something FNAF related. Nice to finally be able to do what I was saying I was going to do since 2021 lol.

But,yeah! the FNAF Movie. Neat movie. I want to watch it again (at home obviously, it's not like I can go to the cinema again anytime soon haha)
